With our new climate, EPIC Homeschool Network has gone virtual. While we will still have some face to face activities, we have started up some virtual clubs for our members. Here is a brief description. All our clubs are free to members (members are responsible for purchasing their own materials). Learn more about membership here.
All homeschooling families regardless of location and all virtual schooling families are welcome!
EPIC Creatives Club
Our Homeschool Hangouts this year will be virtual! This is a great opportunity where you can socialize and have fun while learning.
The EPIC Creatives Club will meet every Second Thursday online.
During this time learners will engage in projects like:
- Wild Wacky Techniques for Drawing Realistically
- Painting
- Cooking
- Creative Writing
- Music
- And Other Creative Arts
If you have a talent you’d like to share, please email us to let us know!
We will be broken up by age groups:
- Group 1: Ages Ages 5 – 11
- Group 2: Ages 12 – 17
The format will vary each session so please check the forums tab to find out what materials will be needed for each session.
EPIC Book Club
Our Homeschool Hangouts this year will be virtual! This is a great opportunity where you can socialize and have fun while learning.
The EPIC Book Club will meet every Third Thursday online.
During this time learners will review the book they read and engage in activities such as a Virtual Escape Room and Show & Tell to name a few.
We will be broken up by age groups:
- Group 1: Ages Ages 5 – 11
- Group 2: Ages 12 – 17
Every family that joins the book club is asked to sign up to lead a month. You will also get to choose the book for that month. Please sign up for the EPIC Book Club and indicate the month you’d like to lead out and the book you’d like to read.
Only books that meet ALL of the standards below should be chosen. (Taken from The Good and the Beautiful)
- Avoids Potty Language and All Uses of Profanity and Taking God’s Name in Vain
- Avoids an Underlying Feeling of Negativity or Darkness
- Avoids Violence Used for Entertainment or Shock Value or Is Overly Graphic
- Does Not Weaken Family, Faith, or Christ‐Like Behavior
- Portrays strong families, motherhood, and fatherhood as desirable and noble
- Portrays parents as being valuable, involved, and helpful. If positive family ties are not portrayed, it is clear they are not acceptable.
- Promotes respect and appreciation for teachers, peers, siblings, and extended family
- Portrays faith in God as desirable and noble
- Portrays learning and education as desirable and noble
- Does not portray bad behavior or weak character traits as humorous, entertaining, normal, or acceptable (laziness, negativity, flippant attitude, disrespect, cruelty, violence, gossip, pride, vanity, self‐centeredness, revenge, greed, worldliness, unkindness, immodesty, immorality, lack of depth of character)

EPIC Entrepreneurship Club
Our Homeschool Hangouts this year will be virtual! This is a great opportunity where you can socialize and have fun while learning.
The EPIC Entrepreneurship Club will meet every Fourth Thursday online.
During this time learners will be introduced to basic business principles and the rewards of entrepreneurship. We will outline some basic tools and strategies kids can use to gain some valuable experience in starting, managing, and growing a successful business venture.
We will be using Kidpreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs With Big Ideas! by Adam Toren and Matthew Toren.
We will be broken up by age groups:
- Group 1: Ages Ages 5 – 11
- Group 2: Ages 12 – 17
This club will work towards having a Biz Fair in February 2021 (pending any social distancing restrictions)

EPIC Running Club
The EPIC Running Club is a twelve-week program. We are proud member of Atlanta Track Club’s Kilometer Kids, a free, game-oriented running program designed to get kids active! The mission of Kilometer Kids is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to area youth through a running-based program, empowering children with the knowledge they need to make smart lifestyle choices.
We meet weekly virtually on Thursdays starting in September.
