11 am —The Color Machine

with A.H. Taylor

This is a Special Story Time event Debuting a picture book from author/illustrator, A.H. Taylor.  The town of Colormazoo has been turned inside out, everywhere you look there’s a scream and a shout.  The Color Machine is now in disrepair, the town’s people march to the Mayor.  What can we do, to find a clue?  It could have been me or it could have been you?  Will anyone ever uncover what turned the town’s people against each other?

identityanddestinyforamazingkids-logo-copy-2

Libby Hodge holds a doctorate degree in Pastoral Counseling from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary in Ridgely, MD. She is also a licensed counselor and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a licensed facilitator with Identity and Destiny. She has served as a children’s minister for over 30 years and is the author of “Identity and Destiny for Amazing Kids”. Her favorite accomplishment is raising 5 children and she now enjoys 6 grandchildren.

When her children were young, she often felt like a juggler in a circus, trying to keep a dozen plates spinning at the top of long poles. Heaven forbid if any of the plates fell to the floor! Parents today want their children to become well-rounded adults who become a blessing to society; but they also have careers, volunteer activities, and all of the additional responsibilities that come with raising a family.

So how do we do it all?

When you’re a busy parent, it’s hard to carve out time to plan your parenting style.
Most people just get by and let life happen. In fact, the idea of having a “Parenting Plan” that the family can build on is a foreign concept to most people.
Parent’s and children need an atmosphere of love, respect and PEACE in order to accomplish all of the many details of daily life.

  • create a clear plan for all family members to follow
  • grow in love and respect toward one another
  • get out of frustration and into function

The goal of this workshop is to give you 5 things that you can begin to do today to bring PEACE to your home and establish a Plan to Parent with Purpose.
