The Atlanta Gladiators professional hockey team would like to invite your school to attend a special Education Day game on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 10:35 am. This game is a great opportunity for a unique, affordable, and educational field trip for your entire school, for select grades or classes, or as a reward for student achievement! Here is an Official Student Curriculum Book for your use in planning this field trip, which offers an opportunity to learn more about the game of hockey, and with lessons in History, Geography, Mathematics, Science, and Physical Education. Our goal is to have engaging and educational displays and activities, along with an exciting hockey game, for your students to experience.
The cost of this Field Trip is only $5 per ticket for seating in our lower bowl. This price is for students, parent chaperones, and faculty. We will provide complimentary tickets for up to 2 teachers per class, as well as for each bus driver. Students may bring their lunches, or you can choose our ticket and lunch package option. As always, parking is free at the Infinite Energy Center. We will have a bus plan in place to drop students off at the gates before the buses park.
Gates will open at 9:35am. A typical hockey games lasts about 2 ½ hours, so departure time would be around 1:15-1:30, leaving time for student to get back to school in time for dismissal.
We will begin taking orders for Education Day immediately. We hope you’ll join us!
